Kuwait: KKMA Rally Support for Charitable Kidney Dialysis Centers

Kuwait, Nov 29: Indian community living in Kuwait celebrated Eid Al Adha in a big way as "Eid Milan Day" to rally support for the noble charitable activity.  The Eid Milan is an annual event organized by Kuwait Kerala Muslim Association (KKMA), the largest social development organization of Indian nationals in Kuwait.  

The Chief Guest, Dinesh Bhatia, the charge d’affaires of Indian Embassy in Kuwait inaugurated the event.  Mr. Bhatia delivered his Eid greetings to all Indian nationals in Kuwait.  He admired the organizers for holding such a colorful gala in an organized and disciplined manner.   The guest of honor was Colonel Ahmed Ali Al Rageeba, Director of Department of Temporal Arrest Affairs Department.   Ms. Sarah Nasaralla, Leader of Corporate Communication Relations Department of Zain released a souvenir booklet printed to commemorate the event by handing over the first copy to Mahmoud Abdulla, the managing director of Apsara Bazar.











N.A. Muneer, KKMA president presided over the function.  Sageer Trikarpur, chairman of KKMA explained the organization’s charitable projects, particularly, the establishment of Kidney Dialysis centers in various parts of Kerala State and Mangalore. 

The get together held at Jleeb Park provided Indian nationals an opportunity to meet and exchange Eid greetings while enjoying Mappila Muslim music and arts forms rendered by local talents.  The event began with various sports and games programs for children and adults from 2:30 pm onwards. In the evening, several ethnic Mappila songs, Mappila songs, an Indian originated musical form of Muslims were rendered by well-known singers Jithin and Rafi Kallai along with local talents Sabir, AC Azeez and Wahid Kannadiparambu.  Ajai Kallai, a well known mimics artist from Kerala and Jithin presented mimics and comedy skits.  

The Oppana programs, traditional marriage dances organized by IMLA, the ladies of KKMA added colors to the event. The girls Oppana organized by Arefa Abdul Fatah, Saneeba Abdul Gafoor and Aysha Ibrahim Kunnil and boys Oppana by Ahmed Kallai and Arabic dance by Faiz Mattammal were all made colorful and enjoyable by the participation of children of IMLA.  In addition, the traditional marriage dances by Shamsudheen Kottappuram and Azeez and party also accepted by the audience despite the showering of rain throughout the evening.  

A large of number of invitees including Ramesh P.A., the manager of Gulf Mart and Ms. Helen Pinto, manager of Behbehani Car Rentals, SA Labba, chairman of IASCO also attended the event.

Abdul Fatah Thayyil, general secretary of KKMA welcomed the audience. Hamza Payanur, general convenor explained the day’s event.  The program was ably coordinated by Ebrahim Kunnil, vice president of KKMA.  Basheer K., organizing secretary delivered vote of gratitude to the attendance.
