Udupi: Minister Janaradhan Reddy Inaugurates ‘Anna Brahma’ at Sri Krishna Mutt

Udupi, Nov 29: State tourism minister G Janardhan Reddy inaugurated the newly-built ‘Anna Brahma’ dining facility at Sri Krishna Mutt on Sunday November 29.
Tirumala Tirupati temple managing trustee Adikeshavalu Naidu presided over the programme.
State home and district-in-charge minister Dr V S Acharya, MLAs Lalaji R Mendon and Raghupathi Bhat, former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake, city councillor Dinakar Shetty, entrepreneur Pramod Madwaraj, MP D V Sadananda Gowda, and Harshendra Kumar of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala were present on the dais.
Sri Sugunendrateerta Swami of Puttige Mutt, Sri Laxmivarateerta Swami of Shiroor Mutt, Sri Vidyavallabateerta Swami of Kaniyoor Mutt, Sri Raghumanyateerta Swami of Bheemasetu Mutt, Teertahalli, and his disciple Sri Raghuvarendrateerta Swami were also present.
Sri Sugunendrateerta Swami, speaking on the occasion, referred to the Tirumala temple authorities’ proposal to construct a Tirupati Kalyan Mantap in the city and said that Puttige Mutt will allot them a plot to realize this project.
He urged the state administration to award compensation for taking over the administration of temples by the religious endowment department three decades ago.
The minister announced that a statue of Madhwa Acharya who had set up Sri Krishna Mutt, will be erected with state funds at Malpe Beach, near here, with the intention of developing the location as a tourism spot.
Swamy Sugunendrateerta also felicitated the donors of Anna Brahma dining facility. Dr Aralumallige Parthasarathy compered the programme.
