Vatican, Nov 30: Archbishop Bernard Moras in a meeting with Pope Benedict, on Saturday,November 28, at the Vatican, sought the Pontiffs prayers for the people of Karnataka after conveying the greetings of the Faithful of Karnataka. Shortly after the Archbishop briefed the Pope about the Church in Karnataka, the Pope said "I am praying for all of you".
The Archbishop also attended the 24th International Conference for Health Care Workers organised under by the Pontifical Council for Health Care Workers at the Vatican's Synod Hall. The Conference focussed on the people with Hearing impediments, especially the completely deaf. President of the Council Archbishop Zygmunt Zimowski greeted over 600 delegates from across the world, most of them who were hearing impaired, including a priest who was deaf, dumb and blind.
Bringing the good wishes of the Conference, Archbishop Moras expressed the Church's solidarity with the hearing impaired in India and recognized that "they have in more ways than one can imagine, contributed to social development by using their other skills".
