Mumbai, Apr 11: Well known Bollywood actor Aamir Khan appreciated in his twitter handle the work of doctors, nurses, hospital staff, Maharashtra police, administration, BMC and staff in the essential services in Mumbai, Maharashtra and the country during the lockdown period. Bollywood stars have been providing essential requirements of daily wage earners of the film industry who were hit hard by the lockdown. While contributing generously, they have been motivating people to follow the World Health Organization and the directives of the central and state governments to stay safe to fight the pandemic.
Akshay Kumar, another Bollywood star said that it is the need of the hour to thank the police for their service.
Ayushmann Khurana, Ajay Devgan, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon have re-tweeted a video posted by Mumbai police which conveys the message how tirelessly the police force has been working during the trying conditions.
Shops in Thane to remain shut:
Thane district administration decided on Friday to shut all vegetable markets and shops in the district till April 14 in a bid to implement strict social distancing norms during combat of the Covid-19 outbreak.
An official said though the order by collector Rajesh Narvekar seems drastic, it is the only way to reduce crowding ignoring the pleas of the people to maintain social distancing.
