Ajman, Dec 15: Six a side cricket tournament  was organized by MAC Sports Academy and Limitless Events in association with Delma Office Equipments from December 4 and the grand finale was held on Friday December 11.

In all there were 24 teams who battled it out to become the champions. Ajman Sixers ended being crowned as the champions by beating Madani Cricketers by just 5 runs. In the final that was played for 2 innings saw Ajman Sixers get a good lead of 24 runs in the first innings. Some good bowling in the second innings by the Madani Player restricted Ajman Sixers to only 47. This set a target of 72 to be achieved in four overs for Madani to win the match. Mohammed Shahid of Madani showed some brilliant stroke play which brought them very close to victory.

Final Scores

Ajman Sixers scored 56 for three in first innings and 47 for one in second innings whereas Madani Cricketers in reply scored 32 for three in first innings and 66 for three in second innings. 

Man of the Finals Uday of Ajman Sixers scored 36 runs in the two innings and was unbeaten both the times. Ajman Sixers bowled a very good line through out the tournament. In adding to this there was a class in their fielding too and did not drop a single catch that came their way. The signs of true champions showed in them through out the series. Mohammed Shahid of Madani Cricketers was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the Series for his consistent performance with the bat and bowl. Ganesh Naidu of LME Cricketers was given a Special recognition for his Magical spell of 5 wickets (all bowled) for 0 runs in a single over.

The organizers have congratulated Prakash D’Souza of Delma Office equipments for completing ICC Level 1 coaching examinations. The organizers have plan to hold many more tournament in other sports also. From March 2010, the organizers also plan to start coaching in different sport for young and interested students.
