Dubai: RTA announces transport relaxation in view of Ramadan

Dubai, Apr 24: Starting from Sunday, April 26 public parking fees will resume back to normal, the Dubai roads and transport authority (RTA) has announced.

RTA in a tweet said, "Starting Sunday 26 April, public parking will be a paid service from 8 am to 6 pm, and from 8 pm until 12 midnight."

The decision was taken in view to mark the holy month of Ramadan, therefore committee for crisis and disaster management announced partial relaxation for the movement of vehicles.

The RTA also announced simultaneously the metro and bus services would resume at their normal fares, but the citizens are asked to follow all precautionary measures issued by the authorities including maintaining social distance and wearing of masks.

The protective health measures so far followed by the taxi drivers would continue such as two passengers at the back while isolators maintained between the driver and the passengers.

As the buses and taxis resume to normalcy, the RTA said that all precautionary measures are taken to ensure safety of the passengers.
