Gwalior, May 1 (IANS): A video of Ripudaman Singh, son of former Madhya Pradesh minister Pradyumna Singh Tomar, has gone viral for moving around without a mask and threatening the police who sought to fine him for the offence on Thursday afternoon. Ripudaman clashed with a constable who stopped him and made a video as he started arguing with him.

He called someone over phone and said, "Call this constable to the bungalow and tell me who I am."

There was an uproar as the video of the entire episode went viral on social media.

In the evening, former minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar took his son to the same place and apologized to the policemen and got a red cross receipt of Rs 100.

The former minister's son has returned from the US during the ongoing lock-down. Pradumna Singh was among the supporters of former union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia who deserted the Congress and joined the BJP.

Pradyumna is expected to contest a by-election to sustain his political career.

Ripudaman, alias Sagar also apologized and admitted his mistake. He said that "I apologize to those who have suffered because of me. I pledge to work with patience and understanding. Will follow the law in future".
