Bengaluru: First PU results to be declared on May 5

Bengaluru, May 1: Pre-university education board has informed that the first PUC results will be declared on May 5. The department took out a circular to this effect and instructed the colleges to publish the results to make convenient for the students to get involved in the academic activities of next grade.

The circular states that the colleges should publish the first PUC results on May 5. The board also said that they will also send the guidelines soon to hold the supplementary exams for students who have failed in the examination at college level itself.

The department has also instructed the private PU colleges not to pressurize parents to pay the fees at this time as they are facing financial distress due to lockdown. If the parents themselves are ready to pay the fee voluntarily, then the same can be collected in instalments. In addition, the department has also directed the management of colleges not to increase the tuition fee for 2020-21.

Warning of strict action is also given in circular for colleges, who fail to adhere to the instructions.

    Hello what do u think of urself I am a 1st Pu student and I have all the rights to know my result so what do u think that since 1st Pu is not important I should not care about my result. Putting deshbakth in Ur name does not make u a death bakth remember u 7th pass.

    if pass 2nd PUC, if fail repeat 1st PU.

    thats y parents were telling u to complete atleast PUC, thab suna nahee........

    Dear Deshbhakht, I understand what you are saying. 1st PUC exams are not life-changing as 10th or 2nd PUC and the government needs to come out with a clear strategy and solution to end the anxiety of these students. With districts changing colours like traffic lights, we'll never arrive at a clear scenario - on an exact date when to conduct exams as the minister proposes. Also, how can these ministers/ DCs tell kids to continue studying for the exams - they are kids, not robots and this is asking too much from them.

    But please spare a thought to the children who gave their 1st PUC exams in February (almost 3 months) and results haven't been announced. Classes till 9th were automatically promoted but there was little word about the progression of 1st PUC students till now.

    Just first PUC ? What is the use ? Is it a Board Exam ? Is Ist PUC a deciding year ? The department should instead come to an understanding about one subject that is left of II PUC exams and declare the results. So that students can seek admission to Degree or other technical colleges.

    2nd PU students cannot apply for anything this time degree you can apply online but you have to go to the college for confirmation and engineering entrance exam is needed medical also same. So no use of panicking and hurrying let lockdown and corona go first no point in simply doing everything at a hurry
