Udupi: Milagres College Kallianpur distributes rice to needy of 3 village panchayats


Udupi, May 2: IQAC of Milagres College Kallianpur and Alumni Association of the college jointly organized a rice distribution programme in connection with the COVID -19.

The needy families of the Kelarkalabettu, Mooduthonse and Paduthonse village panchayats and inter-state people were distributed three ton of rice through this programme.

Janardhan Thonse, zilla panchayat member was present and appreciated the good work done by the college.

The college provides quality education to the students. It also came forward to carry out social welfare of society. Fr Dr Lawrence C D'Souza, the correspondent of the Milagres Institutions blessed everyone and also pointed out that we should follow the directions provided by the government and should help the needy people of the society in this toughest situation of COVID 19. Salvadore Noronha, president Alumni Association (R) Milagres College Kallianpur gave the introductory remarks.

Principal Dr Vincent Alva, IQAC coordinator Dr Jayaram Shettigar, Veronika Cornelio, Shekar Guujarbettu, vice-president alumni association, Prof Sophia Dias, secretary alumni association, Anupama Jogi, NSS Programme Officer, members of the alumni association, village panchayat members were present during the programme. Ravinandan Bhat, PRO Milagres College Kalliapur led the programme.
