4 Africans detained for illegal overstaying in Goa village


Panaji, May 12 (IANS): Four foreign nationals, including one woman, all of African descent, have been detailed from a village in North Goa, for illegally overstaying in the country, a police official said on Tuesday.

While the three male foreigners are natives of Nigeria, the woman hails from Kenya, Supreintendent of Polcie (Anti-Narcotics Cell) Shobhit Saxena told reporters here. The official said that the four foreigners were found staying without any passport, visa or identification documents.

"They have been lodged at our detention centre for deportation. A blacklisting case under the Foreigners Act has also been booked against the owner of the house they were staying in has been registered," Saxena said.
