1 killed fleeing security check post in J&K


Srinagar, May 13 (IANS): One person who fled three chechposts in J&K's Budgam district on Wednesday was killed in firing by the security forces, police sources said.

A vehicle was signalled to stop at a 'Naka' (Checkpost) in Kawoosa (Narbal) area of Budgam district, but instead of stopping, the vehicle fled the checkpost.

"This vehicle fled three checkposts after which the security forces fired at it. One person has been injured in this incident," the sources added.

The doctors declared him deadhas at the hospital where he was shifted for treatment, sources said.
