Varsha Joshi transferred as North MCD Commissioner

New Delhi, May 14 (IANS): Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Thursday directed to transfer Varsha Joshi, Commissioner, North Delhi Municipal Corporation with immediate effect and directed her to report to Chief Secretary Vijay Dev.

In an order, the Delhi Services Department said Gyanesh Bharti (Commissioner, South Delhi Municipal Corporation) will hold the additional charge of Commissioner, North MCD.

Bharti, a 1998-batch IAS officer, has been asked to take care of the North MCD "till further orders".

Meanwhile, Joshi, a 1995 batch IAS officer, has been asked to report to the Chief Secretary, Delhi "with immediate effect".
