We will not let people down: Rahul Gandhi on migrants

New Delhi, May 14 (IANS): Amid the migrant crisis, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi extended support to people who are walking to their homes.

He said "in darkness and tough times keep your strength and we will not let you down. We will raise your voices that government listens to it as they are not ordinary citizens but they are nation's self respect and we will not let you down."

Congress lashed out at the government for not giving priority to migrants walking on roads.

While Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi said that "this is the biggest human tragedy and people are walking on roads hungry with their children and dear ones. People are dying on roads and tracks."

She demanded that UP government should start plying 20,000 buses so that these people could reach their homes safely.

"All the city and district units of the Congress will help these people with full might as this is time of service and Congress workers should stand with the countrymen," added Priyanka Gandhi.

Amazing thoughtfulness and support from Mr Gandhi.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared on 30 January 2020 that Covid-19 had become a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.

Mr Gandhi reflected the WHO's concerns in his requests to the Government of the uneducated to pay heed, and save India.

    Instead...

...the uneducated leaders went to inaugurate the WORLD'S BIGGEST Motera stadium in Ahmedabad THREE WEEKS after the declaration of WHO.

"Namaste Trump" was more important than the health and well-being of crores of Indians for our Bhais from the Choksi-state.

Absolutely right. Bhakths will boast about the recent ANNOUNCEMENTS from PM and FM. had Congress was not very vocal about the issues of migrants, small businesses and farmers, they would have got peanuts now.
In spite of running the governments in central (non Congress parties) for 19 years and the many states including the world's highly developed state, Uttar Pradesh (it has to be because Congress last ruled the state in December 1989) these uneducated jokers need congress' kick to help the migrants, marginal workers and middle class people as they were sleeping for the 50 days of lock-down to announce this (even though so far it is only ANNOUNCEMENT) We have seen what free food and accommodation and free ticket the NRIs got when they landed in Mangalore.
