Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, May 17: The lockdown in Karnataka has been extended by two more days.

The lockdown period on account of proliferation of coronavirus infection, had last been extended by two weeks on May 4, with fresh guidelines.

Now, in pursuance of powers vested with him under Disaster Management Act, 2005, the state chief secretary, T M Vijay Bhaskar, has extended the lockdown period by two days till midnight on Tuesday or till further orders whichever is earlier.

The third 14-day lockdown was enforced on May 4 till May 17 after the second 18-day lockdown lapsed on May 3. The first lockdown was enforced on the midnight of March 24 for 21 days till April 14 to contain the coronavirus spread across the country.

The chief secretary asked the officials to ensure that all the lockdown norms were strictly enforced till further orders or till May 19 midnight.

During the extended period of lockdown, the new guidelines issued as per order dated May 2, 2020 will be in force.

We were in top 3 when the whole thing started.
Being out of limelight was so taxing, we will now open up to level where we are/will be 100% vulnerable and hence get the limelight.
Until a sure cure is identified, lock-down or control in one form or the other is needed. If Government of the day shows relaxation by design, people will relax to a level that can easily let the whole situation out of control.
We definitely don't want to top the second wave and live the adage viz., "only fools learn from their own mistake".

If lockdown extended, so be it!!!

But what about evacuation plan for us stranded NRIs in India, why dont govt send us out of India.

How many population you want to accumulate, there are daily 500 to 1000s are returning to India. And as a result of huge population its like biryani for corona.

Why cant u send us?There are nearly 10k+stranded NRI s in India who are in fear of losing jobs, some are students, some departed from spouses.

This is very distressing. We have been trying to reach all authorities over twitter, embassies.
But India is only repatriating, they are applying to one eye surma other eye charcoal.

When we call etihad and emirates they say Indian subcontinent is not permitting to land them on Indian airspace, what is this dombarata?

When UK, USA with freaking covid 19 data allows EY and EK why don't you?
If not why dont you have mutual agreement n send us in Air India atleast.

    Down with your illegitimate logic!!!
