Bantwal: Balekody Math's Sri Shashikanth Swamiji passes away

Bantwal, May 19: Dr Shashikanth Swamiji of Balekody Shilanjana temple in Kanyana, Vittal, left for the heavenly abode late night on Monday May 18. He was ill since sometime. He was 45.

The Swamiji, who had settled down at Balekody temple since the last several years, used to bless the devotees and deliver addresses to clear their doubts and spiritually guide them. A number of his devotees used to visit him daily from Karnataka and Kerala, seeking solace and guidance from the Swamiji.

Dr Shashikanth Swamiji was suffering from ill health since sometime. He was also under treatment at a hospital for some time. Thereafter, he started to live in a house near the temple. He also was bestowed with doctorate.

However, his health condition deteriorated recently and his death came late night on Monday.
