HMD Global hires ex-OnePlus executive in key role


Helsinki, May 19 (IANS) HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, on Tuesday announces the appointment of Adam Ferguson as Head of Product Marketing.

Prior to joining HMD Global, Ferguson was marketing head for OnePlus in Europe and also held senior marketing positions at EE, Nestle and Unilever.

Ferguson will be responsible for leading company's product marketing strategy across the entire portfolio of Nokia smartphones and feature phones, the company said in a statement.

"There are not many devices that captivate audiences and evoke such loyalty as Nokia phones do. I look forward to doing this legacy justice and helping bring fans of the brand what they've come to," said Ferguson.

Ferguson will report to Stephen Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer.
