Harssh A Singh: Acting is a social activity

Mumbai, May 20 (IANS): Actor Harssh A Singh, who has featured in projects like "Thappad", "Sense8" and "Ragini MMS Returns", says acting is a social activity and if people do it sitting at home, he doesnt think it will have the same energy.

Harssh has been working from home amidst the ongoing lockdown.

"I have shot two ads in the last 50 days and I have done some voice-over from home, which is okay but I don't see it as the new norm. I am hoping that social distancing will continue for a couple of months and then it will stop. But eventually, I don't know what will happen," he said.

"I hope that is not the norm because the happiness and enjoyment of going to set is something I miss. Acting is a social activity which is created by collaboration and if we do this by sitting at home, I don't think it will have the same energy," he added.

However, he is not sure how everything will function after COVID-19.

"I don't know how it is going to be like. I think crews will be smaller, but eventually once the corona dies down, I think the production should get back to normal. I don't think it should happen before September or October. This has never happened anywhere before how the world is going to change after this, nobody knows. It's going to be scary," said Harssh.

As of now, he thinks that life is good for "people like us. I mean we are privileged, we are at a point that we don't have to worry about our day-to-day survival. We have our own house, food to easily survive like this for another six months without any worries. So life is good. It has given us a chance to slow down a bit".
