Mangalore: Smashing of Pickpocket’s Head – Five Held

Mangalore, Jan 21:  Relating to the recent incident in which a pickpocket named Bhaskar had been found murdered by his fellow thieves after a street brawl near the Nehru Maidan in the city by smashing his head with a boulder recently, the policemen of Bunder police station here,  have arrested five persons.

The five accused have been identified as Rajasaab (23) from Dharwad district, Chandru (24) from Haveri district, Murali (23) from Raichur, Gururaj S K (32) from Hassan and Bhima Mathur from Jharkhand state.

Bhaskar (30) from Perdoor in Udupi district had been killed after a quarrel broke out among the petty thieves over sharing of the booty on the night of Friday January 15.
