Sullia: ‘Politicians Are Traitors’ Manila Swamiji at Hindu Convention
Daijiworld Media Network – Sullia (SP)

Sullia, Jan 21: “Our country is being looted not by any foreigners, but by own politicians, who are ruling our country. None of the politicians are bothered about the spiraling prices that have made the lives of the common people miserable. None of the political parties have an agenda that concerns the protection of the country. This is deplorable,” said Sri Mohandas Swamiji of Sridhama Manila.

He was addressing the ‘Hindu Dharma Jagruti Samavesha’ held by Hindu Dharma Jagruti Samiti in front of Lord Chennakeshava temple here on the evening of Wednesday January 20.

“How many parents send their children to Gurukuls for giving them knowledge about their religion, apart from making them aware of the belief systems and practices associated with it? Do we teach our children at least the basic rationale and beliefs of Hinduism? There is a need to hand over the invaluable wealth of the essence of our religion to the next generation,” he argued.

Kuntar Ravish Tantri lamented that Hindus, in spite of being a big community, has not been doing anything to repulse the attack on it, that is going on ceaselessly.

Pramukh of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Mohan Gowda, pointed out that the state governments headed by the BJP have also failed to protect the interests of the Hindus. He claimed that 300 temples have been attacked in Gujarat during the tenure of Narendra Modi, while in Karnataka, religious bigots desecrated 12 temples. “The government has failed to arrest the culprits. Evn in the state muzrai department, corrupt and unethical people have been placed in strategic positions,” he said.

Dharmashakti Sene leader, Ravindra Kamat, and Ranaragini Sangeeta Prabhu, also addressed the gathering.

Sri Yogeshwarananda Swamiji of Ajjavara Sri Chaitanyashram, managing trustee of Aivarnad Panchalingeshwara temple, Paleppady Ganapaiah Bhat and managing trustee of Lord Chennakeshava temple, Dr Hariprasad Turiyadka, were present.

As a Christian I can comment or suggest on few things. Swamiji's concern regarding Sanathan Dharma followers's children not attending Gurukula's to learn about their religion, Tradition and practices is self explanotory.Unlike Christians or Muslims, superior cast Brihmin people were only allowed to study in Gurukula's. We have a Church and a mere minimum a middle school attached to it. Muslims have a mosque and a Madarasa attached to it.That was our basic.Follow this concept and break the shakle of casteism. So simple.

Regarding Politicians Looting our country as a Indian I will not comment. No Dharma is glorifying coruption. Be Sanathan, Muslim or Christians. Giving and taking Bribe by way of kind or cash is a sin. That means majority of Buerocrates and Politicians are not following their Dharma. Whom to blame, other then our selves because we elect them on the basis of Cast,Creed and the Party.Individual Credentials who is bothered? What we have sown that we have to reap. My last word, Respected Swamiji I appreciate your boldness and your concern about the welfare of our country men.

You have to go one step forward by boycotting their visit or function.Jagannath Puri Swamiji has once done it. He has adamantly refused the entry to Late Indira Gandhi, then the PM, as she was married to a out cast. Can you do that? If yes I salute you.

The swamiji is right. No one is bothered about spiralling prices not even the public. There will be mahasabhas and conventions but no word against rising prices, bad roads etc.. Another thing about gurukuls. Its only christians in our district who have consructed primary schools in every nook and corner of our district. Why cant every temple construct its own school or gurukul?. Why cant the people contribute and buy land to construct temples and schools/gurukuls so that they get educated with hindu values and traditions?.

It is always easier to blame others than doing good work ourselves. Let us ask what we have done for the country, than what our country has done to us-(G.F.Kennedy). If everybody does his bit then there won't be any excuses or blame games.

The concern expressed by the Swamiji is ture. But why always religion comes into picture? There might have been injustice done agianst Hindus but is it only agianst Hindus. Then who does injustice against others? It is has been a habit of many of our leaders to mix religion with politics in a negative way and this Swami is no exception for this habit.

The general public is also need to be blamed along with the polititians for the present situation. There are many among us who indulge in bribe for personal gain. Also there are many people among our society who will close their eyes when there are accrocities committed against a particular socity or community as they prefer to keep mum as they are not affected.

It is true that Our politicians are looting us by imposing tax and using that tax for their Salary, travel etc. But we should not forget that God also punishes us by not sending rain in time when it was necessary and soemtime when crops are ready to harvest rain comes and destroys crops. So from where food will supply? Ultimately there will be scarcity of food. Sometime there is no proper storage facility. If we stop fighting in the name of religion, caste, dowry, upper level and lower level then only God will show us mercy and everything will be alright. But nothing can be done with these Politicians. Only best way not to Vote.
