Good initiative by Milagres Church ! As Max and Jessie said this was a brilliant idea indeed. A great way to unite everyone on a common platform with a sporting spirit. Congrats to each and every one involved with this team building effort. Hope others too follow the example which will enable to unearth new talent in the field of sports and games among our youngsters. Right now, there are very few shining on the national level. Let us see more winning medals for our Karnataka state especially.

Very pleased and delighted to read and see the wonderful photographs taken at the Mangala Stadium for the Milagres Diocesan Level Sports meet. (Sorry for the ignorance, but where is the Mangala Stadium? I dont think we have seen this place yet). Whoever planned this Diocesan Sports occasion is a fantastic idea indeed. Sports and recreations, both indoor and outdoor dependant upon the seasons, enable the youth to gather together, interact with each other, and prove their strengths and abilities in athletics fore the good of mankind.

The enthusiasm and the spirit of competition as well as cooperation goes hand in hand in today's world of new generation and new challenges, and we should therefore promote as many Diocesan level sports and athletic activities, not only for the city parishes but also the rural parishes where prevail some of the fine athletes too. We strongly support the Bishop and the Diocese of Mangalore on any kind of future plans and expansions in the field of Sports on a Diocesan level and would like to plan visiting Mangalore during such auspicious occasions in the future. Integration of faith with sports and many other recreational, theatrical as well as intellectual participations will boost the secular as well as democratic values of Mother India.

The news of this kind is the best gift we would like to accept from India while we are about the embrace the 60th Anniversary of India's Republic Day. Jai Hind.
