Mangalore: 3 Idiot’s Sharman Joshi Adds Zing to IAP Conference’s Cultural Gala

Mangalore, Jan 24: The presence of Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi, protagonist Raju Rastogi of latest blockbuster 3 Idiots added frenzy to the cultural event organized at Pilikula here on Saturday January 23 on the second day of 48th annual conference of Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP).       

Sharman accompanied by his wife Prerana, former cricketer Vinod Kambli, his wife Andrea Hewitt Kambli and actress, educationist and Paresh Rawal’s wife Swaroop Sampat were welcomed to great applause by students and delegates over 5,000 in numbers. Youth cheered and danced on getting an opportunity to get up-close with their favourite stars. There was no room for silence with Sharman’s presence as youth just drooled over the actor.




























Kambli, who had inaugurated the event on Saturday, was a familiar face to the crowds, who thoroughly entertained the students through his antics and dance moves. His wife, Andrea, a model too joined in the fun as her husband danced with the youth. Prerana and Swaroop Sampat too were found enjoying this adulation.  

The celebrities were later invited to participate as judges at the cultural competition organized for the delegates of the conference. Twelve teams from all over the nation made it to the finals of the dance competition that the crowd completely lapped up. 

Team from Suncity College, Pune was declared the winners with team from D Y Patil, Mumbai bagging the first runner-up prize. The teams from SHG College, Baroda and KEM College, Mumbai were adjudged joint second runners-up.  

The celebrity musical band Aasma from Mumbai entertained the young crowd with their ace performances during the event.

Prof U T Iftikar Ali, organizing secretary of 48th IAP annual conference and Dr Ali Irani, president of IAP were present.
