90 COVID-19 patients recover in Odisha, 63 new cases


Bhubaneswar, May 29 (IANS): As many as 90 more novel coronavirus patients have recovered in Odhisha -- the highest number of recoveries in a single day so far -- while 63 new cases were reported on Friday, the Health Department said.

The recovered cases in Odisha now total 977. The state has 737 active cases.

The 90 recovered patients are being discharged, the department tweeted.

These cured patients include 23 from Jagatsinghpur, 22 from Jajpur, 21 from Bhadrak, 15 from Ganjam, three from Cuttack, two each from Khurda and Sambalpur, and one each from Balasore and Nayagarh.

Seven persons have died of the disease in Odisha.
