DJB employee dies of Covid-19


New Delhi, May 30 (IANS): A Class four worker from the Delhi Jal Board has died from the coronavirus infection, officials said on Saturday.

"The group D employee died of Covid. He was also suffering from pneumonia and was admitted at Lok Nayak Hospital on May 22, where he died. The case has been forwarded for compensation," the official told IANS.

The employee was associated with Moti Nagar, in the West zone, the official said.

Since the outbreak of the infection, a number of DJB workers and officials have tested positive for the infection.

Till Saturday, there were 18,549 corona cases in the national capital. The death toll was reported at 416.
