Fr Muller Homoeopathic College Presents - 'Prerana -2010'

Mangalore, Jan 28: Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College has completed 25 years of dedicated and selfless service to humanity and in the field of Homoeopathic Medical Education and this Jubilee year we intend to reach out to wide variety of people in our society.  As a part of the festivities the college is hosting PRERANA – 2010 a unique and spectacular Inter-collegiate Cultural and Literary competition.



















The inaugural programme commenced at 9.45 a.m. with a prayer song led by the students of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College.  The Chief Guest Rev. Fr Clement Mascarenhas, Principal, St Sebastian High School and P.U. College, Permanoor inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.  Rev.Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Administrator, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital, Dr Srinath Rao, Principal, Dr Shivaprasad K, Vice-Principal and Organizing Secretary of Silver Jubilee Celebrations, Dr Jyoshna S, Convenor of Prerana – 2010 were among the other dignitaries on the dais.

Dr Srinath Rao, Principal welcomed the gathering. Rev.Fr Clement Mascarenhas urged the students and the participants to build up their talents and use this platform to have a healthy competitive interaction with one another.

Dr Jyoshna S proposed the Vote of Thanks.  The Essay competition began immediately after the inaugural programme with a total of 30 participants from 14 colleges around the city.

On the 2nd day i.e. 29th January there will be an Inter-collegiate quiz competition.  On the 3rd day i.e. January 30th there will an Inter- collegiate singing competition for the P.U. students.

    I am extremely happy to see Father Muller's Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital growing with each year. The seed that was sown by Father Muller of sacred memory has grown into a mighty tree - the credit goes to several directors who have spared no efforts to ensure that the work commenced by Muller is carried forward in fitting manner. I have been closely associated with Father Muller's Institutions for several years and it is a pleasure to see the growth over the years. I was present at the inaugural of The Homeopathy Medical College twenty-five years ago when I was on the Governing Board of The Institution. It was during Father Peter Noronha's tenure that the venture commenced. It looks as if just the other day Dr. Dawle from Bombay was requested to come to Mangalore for his guidance and advice. Over the years - it has been a success story. It is good to see that Father Patrick Rodrigues is at the helm of the affairs now. Father Stany Tauro did a wonder job as the administrator of the division and now Father Prakash has called upon to guide the future destiny of the work commenced by Father Muller. Kudos to all concerned for the excellent service rendered. Joe Gonsalves

    Its feels great to be ex-student of this wonderful institution. They are doing excellent job. I wish Prerana should be a successful event.I wish Sir Shrinath Rao and all the staffs of Homoeopathic college, all the best for future endeavours.
