Kuwait: Karnataka Salafi Association Elects New Office-Bearers

Kuwait, Jan 29: The annual general body meeting of the Karnataka Salafi Association was held under the chairmanship of its president Abdul Khader at Mangaf KRH Camp, recently.
The Association’s chief secretary presented the annual report to the gathering which consisted of members of the Karnataka Salafi Association and Kuwait Kerala Islahi Centre.
Azam Bolar presented an account of the International Islamic Centre based in Kuwait and Harris Nandavar presented a report about the publication division.
Association president Abdul Khader expressed happiness over the setting up of a branch of the International Islamic Centre at Mangalore.
He urged the gathering to work towards eradicating blind beliefs, religious oppression and terrorism, and all social evils instigated by a few religious men in the community.
It was decided to distribute ‘Pavitra Sandesha’, the Kannada bi-monthly that conveys the true teaching of the Prophet among the Kannadiga expatriates in Kuwait and also work towards the success of the upcoming second mega Islamic Seminar to be held here in February.
The election of office-bearers for the next term was held on the same occasion.
The elected members are Abdul Khader Deralakatte (president), Mohammed Haneef Ullal (vice-president), Abdul Basheer Arkula (chief secretary), Rizwan Abdul Razak Ullal (joint secretary), Mohammed Nooruddin Ujire (finance secretary), Mohammed Sharief Kuttar (treasurer), Azam Bekal (charity division chief secretary), Harish Nandavar (publication assistant secretary), Iqbal Bajal (media secretary), Badruddin Ucchil (public relations), and Anwar Hussain Bunder, Maqsood Shimoga, Mohammed Abbas Kaup, Sayyed Iqbal Krishnapur, Firoz Abdul Samad Jeppu, and Mohammed Iqbal Bunder (executive committee members).
International Islamic Centre director Sheikh Faisal Al-Hashmi inaugurated the new office of Karnataka Salafi Association–Kuwait, located at Fazahil, which was set up in association with the International Islamic Centre.
