Govt must tell forward plan to the country: Congress

New Delhi, May 31 (IANS): On the last day of the lockdown 4.0, the Congress has questioned the government on its strategy and plan to control the coronavirus infection, exit route out of the lockdown to revive the economy and a way forward.

Chief Spokesperson of the Congress, Randeep Surjewala said, "Today, we witnessed biggest 'Single Day Spike' in #COVID19 infection of 8,380. Total Infection at 1,82,490."

He asked, "The fifth Lockdown begins tomorrow and Congress posed 4 questions to the government -- What is the Govt strategy? Have the Lockdowns failed? Is there a blueprint to fight Corona? Any plan out of economic havoc?"

The party has been questioning the persistent lockdown without any exit plan which was implemented on March 25.

The Centre on Saturday took an exit step from the 68-day nationwide lockdown, declaring that the restrictions will be limited to only containment zones up to June 30 and that the prohibited activities will be opened in a phased manner in areas outside these zones.

Applicable from Monday, June 1, the fresh order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) spoke of the expanded fresh guidelines a day ahead of the end of lockdown 4.0.

The nationwide lockdown was imposed on March 25 with the announcement of the restrictions by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. The lockdown was extended thrice earlier.

As the first year of Modi 2.0 ends, It's clear that Democracy has been "Quarantined". If there is one thing we've learned about Modi, it is that he never learns from his mistakes. The current crisis is the product of his cult of personality and the only response he is capable of is to double down on his worst impulses.
Modi once stoked public fears about Corona-virus, Now he doesn't know how to dial back. Deep down, he wants to fire all cylinders of the economy. The narrative of fear has to be transformed into one of hope. But how?

When the history of the present times of this country is written, not only will it record the failure of the current regime in managing a crisis but will acknowledge the struggles of common people, the labourers, children and women who covered hundreds of kilometres on foot to return home in the absence of any help from the government.

Whether it was demonetization, GST implementation or the national lock-down, the prime minister and his advisors knee-jerk decision-making has cost India dear.

The worst PMO has rejected an RTI application seeking details of the PM CARES Fund, stating that the fund is not a public authority under the Act.

Neither government has 'forward plan' nor has 'exit stratergy'. But poor caught between rock and a hard place and judicary in quarantined and the Supreme Court is in locked down and Justice is in 'Emergency' care.

First of all, all Govt should stop giving free-bees... Don't make people lazy... instead bring out some useful projects so that everybody gets business or job in other words.... Be it construction of huge Mandir, Masjid, Statue, massive road works, complete eradication of slums and constructing buildings for their rehabilitation, Transport network in rural area, etc can bring the Nation back on right track… Don’t declare the package in few crores…. You take the example of farmers’ loan waiver scheme…. Overnight many farmers became eligible for loan waiver scheme even some of them never seen the banks yet…but money is gone from the Govt Account and distributed in peaceful manner too

Govt doesn't understand what is forward plan, reverse plan, sideways plan or exit strategy. All of a sudden they only know to say 'Historic Acheivement of Modi in First Year of Modi 2.0'. So, if this covid-19 pandemic wasn't there then what would have been thier achievement???????. BJP hasn't listed any of its outstanding achievements from May 2019 other than this pandemic. All the countries of the world can claim this comman achievement!?!?!?!...So, it's not an achievement then.
