Dabolim, May 31: Over seven more international repatriation flights are scheduled to arrive at the Dabolim airport. The permission for the same is being sought from the director-general of civil aviation. These flights are aside from the four repatriation flights from Sri Lanka which will be bringing back seafarers.
“We have seven more repatriation flights getting in line. The work is on and nothing is finalised as of now," an official was quoted in a report by TOI.
On Saturday, four domestic flights landed at the Dabolim airport with 152 passengers and 234 passengers took flights out to Delhi, Mysuru and Bengaluru. Two flights were operated between Goa and New Delhi.
IndiGo operated two flights while Vistara and Alliance Air operated one flight to Delhi and Mysuru respectively.
Officials of the Airports Authority of India have stated that there has been a marginal increase in the number of passengers arriving by flights from the national capital and Bengaluru. On Friday, 87 passengers landed in Goa from Bengaluru and Delhi. Over 245 passengers reportedly took three flights out of Goa.
