Khushali Kumar: Poetry is a way to channelise my thoughts

Mumbai, June 2 (IANS): Actress-model-fashion designer Khushali Kumar's poem "Normal Days" is out now. She says poetry lets her channelise her thoughts.

The poem deals with various aspects of the current critical situation by talking about our mothers, the frontline coronavirus warriors, the migrant workers, nature and the urgent need to live in harmony with it.

Talking about her poem, Khushali said: "The entire world has been in an unpredictable situation and yes, it is tough but not permanent. Our former normal days will surely come back and we should remember to respect and value every minute of our life going forward."

"This was not an attempt to write a poem. We all need a way to express ourselves and for me, poetry is a way to channelise my thoughts. It was completely unplanned; it just came right from my heart," she added.

Khushali, daughter of late music baron Gulshan Kumar, features in the video directed by Mohan S. Vairaag.
