Udupi: ‘Sadbhavana’ - Human Chain in Support of Harmonious Co-existence

Udupi, Jan 30: A NGO named ‘Sadbhavana’ had formed a human chain from Kadiyali in the city to Karavali Circle, on the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, on Saturday January 30.
The human chain was inaugurated by Rajya Sabha member and former union minister, Oscar Fernandes, by offering floral tributes to the portrait of Gandhiji. Speaking on the occasion, he urged the people to have lofty ideals like the ones the Mahatma pursued, and asked them never to compromise on principles in their lives. He also felt that harmonious coexistence is the essence of happy living.
He inspected the human chain, formed by several Congress leaders and the students of schools, by riding on a decorated vehicle. Prominent personalities present on the occasion were, Blossom Fernandes, former MP, Vinay Kumar Sorake, former MLA, Gopal Bhandary, district Congress president, M A Gafoor, Ashok Kumar Kodavoor etc.
