Himachal CM hailed for best performing state


Shimla, June 3 (IANS): Himachal Pradesh ministers Mohinder Singh and Suresh Bhardwaj on Wednesday congratulated Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur for being voted as the best performing Chief Minister, besides the best Chief Minister among the BJP-ruled states in the IANS-C Voter State of the Nation 2020 Survey.

The ministers said the survey was based on the satisfaction rating of all the Chief Ministers as voted by the respondents in their respective states.

They said the net percentage of satisfaction in Himachal Pradesh was 73.96 per cent, which was much higher than most of the big states.

They said the net percentage of satisfaction was 67.21 per cent in Karnataka, 67.17 per cent in Assam, 58.73 per cent in Madhya Pradesh, 58.53 per cent in Gujarat and 57.81 per cent in Uttar Pradesh.

They said the all India average of satisfaction was 57.36 per cent.

The ministers said Himachal Pradesh was not only forging ahead on the path of progress and prosperity under the dynamic leadership of the Chief Minister but also effectively tackled the impact of the corona pandemic.

They said the steps like the active case finding campaign launched by the state to identify people with influenza-like illness symptoms have been appreciated even by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
