Bhubaneswar, June 3 (IANS): Odisha on Wednesday reported 143 new COVID-19 positive cases while 91 persons recovered from the deadly virus.
Out of the total 143 positive cases, 132 cases were reported from quarantine centres while 11 were local contacts, informed the health department.
Another 91 COVID patients have recovered and are being discharged taking the total recovery cases to 1416, the department said.
22 persons from Deogarh, 16 from Puri, 15 from Nayagarh, 9 from Balangir, 5 each from Angul and Balasore, 3 each from Bhadrak and Sundargarh, 2 each from Cuttack, Ganjam, Khurda, Kalahandi and Baragarh and 1 each from Dhenkanal, Gajapati and Jajpur recovered from the disease by Wednesday.
The total number of coronavirus positive cases has touched 2388 in Odisha. Seven persons have died of the disease in the state.
