Rajasthan: Woman kills husband with axe for raping her sister, held

Jaipur, Jun 4 (IANS): A 28-year-old woman was arrested for killing her husband after he raped her minor sister in Rajasthan, police said on Thursday.

The murder took place on the intervening night of June 1 and 2.

The woman in her statement said that she was pregnant and so she had brought her 15-year-old sister along with her to lend a helping hand in post-delivery phase. However, the woman was quite aggrieved when her husband raped her sister and in a fit of rage, she hit him with an axe that lead to his death, police said.

She will be produced before a local court on Thursday, Dhod police station SHO Amit Kumar Nagora told IANS.

The accused kin has also been handed over to her family members after completion of her medical test, Nagora added.

This devil deserves death and met his end for great mistake. Court should release the lady and Govt should help her financially. Any woman would have done it. I dont consider her as killer but justice maker. May God bless her and she leads peaceful life. Rapists should be given capital punishment without delay.

No women comments are seen here. The men are supporting the bravery of this women. The women according to this news served the justice to her late husband. The law of court need proof and her 15 year sister is the only will justify this cause. I wish this could not be true and very purpose of the crime to be brought into light.

Most women go through post-partum depression after delivery.

While being depressed, a desire to cause harm (to self or others) does not necessarily mean there was a real reason behind it...

...a reason comes into the picture after the event.

Local Govt. & social workers should help her financially as she has to take care of her two children.
No one should not consider her as a murderer.
If this happens in our area we all should help such lady financially and support emotionally.
