Rain, mangoes bring a smile on Vijay Varma's face


Mumbai, June 4 (IANS): Actor Vijay Varma has shared what brings a big smile on his face.

Vijay, who rose to fame with his portrayal of Moeen Arif in Zoya Akhatar's directorial "Gully Boy", took to Instagram to share a boomerang video of himself.

In the clip, he is seen holding a mango next to his face with droplets of the rain in the backdrop.

"Baarish (rain) + aam (mango) = big smile," Vijay captioned the clip.

Vijay, who has also starred in films like "Monsoon Shootout" and "Chittagong", was recently seen in "Bamfaad", a love story set in Allahabad. He plays the antagonist in the digital film, which marked the debut of veteran actor Paresh Rawal's son Aditya Rawal.

The 34-year-old actor started his acting journey in theatre in Hyderabad. He then went to Pune to get a formal education in acting at FTII. His maiden acting job was in Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK's short film titled "Shor".

Vijay will next be seen in Mira Nair's "A Suitable Boy", which also stars Tabu, Ishaan Khatter and newcomer Tanya Maniktala.
