Patna, Jun 6 (IANS): The political activities in Bihar have intensified with the assembly elections approaching fast as parties from both sides of the alliances are weighing their options.

On Friday night, the three parties belonging to the grand alliance of opposition met here and discussed the options before them.

According to sources, the late-night meeting at the residence of former Chief Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi was attended by Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) president Upendra Kushwaha and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani.

Confirming the meeting, HAM spokesperson Danish Rizwan said that Kushwaha and Sahani had visited Manjhi's residence at Friday night and they had a long discussion.

Sources said there was a discussion on seat sharing in the Grand Alliance and the formation of a coordination committee. Sources claimed that these leaders are also considering formation of a separate front to fight the election.

However, no leader of these three parties gave any details about what was discussed in the meeting.

Earlier also, the leaders of these three parties had held a meeting, in which the leaders of the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) were not invited. Many believe that it is a tactics to put pressure on the RJD and the Congress to shell out more seats in the coming elections.
