Treat non-COVID patients seriously: Priyanka Gandhi

New Delhi, Jun 7 (IANS): After a pregnant woman lost her life as she struggled for 13 hours to get admitted in a hospital in Noida, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra lashed out at the Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday.

Priyanka Gandhi in a tweet said that during the corona pandemic, the government will have to take non-corona and other diseases very seriously. Any negligence in this regard may have serious consequences, she said.

"The lethal incident happened with a pregnant woman in Noida is a warning, many such event have been reported in Uttar Pradesh. The government should get prepared for this to avoid loss of lives," she further said.

The incident occurred on Friday in Noida's Khoda area when Veerendra Gautam tried to get his wife admitted in a hospital after she felt labour pain. Gautam took her to at least three hospitals in Noida and Greater Noida, but could not get her admitted due to the corona fear. Thereafter, the woman died.

The District Magistrate has ordered an enquiry into the incident.

Noida reported 21 fresh corona cases, a total of 29 people have recovered so far from the infection, the administration said on Saturday.

The death of the pregnant women in Noida is just another case of total preparedness by the GOI and State Governments to face the pandemic. Crores were wasted on NAMASTE TRUMP when Trump himself turned out to be the worst person to look up to leadership in the so-called most economically powerful nation. In India, people were made to line up along roadsides, and in a stadium, over a lakh, people gathered to cheer trump. The number of COVID 19 cases in Gujarat is mute testimony to the sad quality of leadership in our country. Now Delhi is matching the scenario in the initial stages of the pandemic in Italy with no beds available in the hospitals. God save the poor and the sick and ailing people in our country.

The BJP government is only worried about pregnant elephant, not about the pregnant women. This handpicked militant Yogi who earlier sent dead bodies of the migrant workers who died in Auriya in garbage bags in open truck laid on slabs of ice blocks in hot temperature.

I request Priyanka Gandhi to set up special committee of his party volunteers who will directly go to the needy people in time. It is useless to blame the 'Jungle Raj' of Uttar Pradesh and just provide the help like you arrange the transport for the migrant workers to reach home safely.

Where are those hundreds of angiograms and angioplasties have disappeared? Earlier every person who is rushed to hospitals with chest pain were asked to get angiogram immediately and while angiogram is on, they will show some blocks and say if angioplasty performed now, will be cheaper. patient party has to agree. The parson might have complained of chest pain because of gastric reflux, the doctors never bother check that aspect at all.
