Mangaluru: Nalin Kumar launches BJP campaign marking Modi govt's anniversary

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Jun 7: State BJP president and Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel on Sunday June 7 inaugurated the 'Neevu Prerakaru Nanu Sevaka' campaign marking the anniversary of Narendra Modi-led government in the centre. The campaign entails reaching out to every household with a letter giving the details of the achievements of the second term of Modi government in the last one year.

Addressing reporters, Nalin Kumar said, "Though the country is facing crisis due to coronavirus pandemic, the central government has done commendable job in uplifting the economy of the country. The way Indians have responded to the call given by PM Modi is appreciable. This campaign has been undertaken in order for the people to know about the last one year's achievement of the Modi government, and the letter contains summary of the letter by PM Modi to the nation marking this occasion.

"Due to coronavirus, we have to follow social distancing, so only two persons will visit each house during the campaign," he added.

MLA Vedavyas Kamath said, "The Narendra Modi-led government is completing one year in its second term. The citizens of the country are proud of the decisions taken by the Modi government. The BJP government has fulfilled the promise of abrogating Article 370 related to Kashmir. We have also been able to resolve the decades-long Ram Mandir issue and hence gained confidence of the public. The BJP government has eased the difficulties faced by people during this lockdown by announcing Rs 20 lac crore economic package. Every BJP worker in Mangaluru South constituency will convey these achievements to the people in this door-to-door campaign."

Mayor of MCC Divakar Pandeshwar, BJP mandal president Vijay Kumar Shetty, chief secretary J Surendra and others were present.

No use commenting guys!. We have been mocked for being only 'internet warriors' without any other value add. We have to look at this with an ounce of shame. Have we sat down and ever introspected why Nalin won 3 times? and even may win again if contesting? NO. Have we ever fielded a worth while candidate to bank on ? Have we given chance to aspiring young individuals in the party, so we can look forward to new ideas and strategies? NO. Why are we repeatedly depending on the likes of Ramanath Rai, Mithun Rai, Ivan , Moiudeen etc despite knowing the results ? I know I will be trolled and made fun of. But this is the fact. I saw veteran Janardhana Poojaris interview on TV and he openly states this . Dont understand why Cong is still in denial mode turning a blind eye.

Pacefic heights- DK is full of communal politics. Otherwise how can someone like this guy get elected? If you look at the photographs of those wearing masks, majority of them are not covering their nose which defeats the whole object of wearing a mask. All these dirty politicians want a photo opportunity to publicise themselves nevermind abbout caring for people with covidvirus or starving people. Thanks to the worst handling of coronavirus cases and India has now jumped to sixth country in the world to have highest number of coronavirus cases.

In the first week of lockdown, as a nonplussed nation was figuring how to cope and as Covid revealed expansionist intent across India, Modi unveiled PMCARES. It immediately gobbled up the constituency funds of MPs for two years, soaked up generous donations from public and private sector companies, funnelled in smaller mandatory and voluntary contributions, and soon became a bloated kitty worth Rs 10,000 crore. Nobody enlightened the nation on why it was required when PMNRF already existed. It later came to light that the fund, and its purposes, were beyond public scrutiny, more like a tightly-held treasure chest that nobody was allowed a peep into.

At the same time, as the economy took daily blows and Covid combat lacked visibly for financial support, plans proceeded for Modi’s dream of fashioning an elaborate new seat of power along New Delhi’s imperial-era Central Vista — a new parliament, new residences for the prime minister and vice-president, new administrative and office blocks. The estimated cost: Rs 20,000 crore. And there is the squandering of public money. Really? But the government is also buying state-of-the-art super-luxury Boeing 777-300ER liners for the president, vice-president and prime minister. The bill: Rs 8,458 crore.

Desperate millions, suddenly thrown out of work and shelter and left without means of sustenance, saw no option but to head home. The cities had been suddenly stilled. Industry groaned to a halt, traffic vanished, households ejected help, there was nothing to be earned off the street. They wanted to go home. They were thwarted — held hostage by security forces in their suffocating warrens, tear-gassed and lathicharged. When they broke those barriers, they were chased and beaten. They were afforded no help — no transport, no food, no water, no shelter. They were treated like hordes of pestilential insects, sprayed with anti-corrosives and insecticides.

Is the suffering of crores of the population called achievement?
    Jai Hind

Very good move by Nalin , keeping the party in peoples focus . The Congress need to learn from him . Unfortunately there are no accomplishments by Cong to boast of. They are still playing the 'Priyanka resembles Indira Gandhi' . 'Pappu resembles Rajiv ' etc. Never trusted youngsters to join . Its just Ramanatha Rai, Ivan etc. Their supporters in DK are just internet sevaks with a fake name and id. ?What revival can you expect.

None of the promises during election speech have been fulfilled by Modi like jobs, economy, health care, education, defence, foriegn policy, declining rupee value and nation building developments etc. In fact whatever never been spoken has been secretly, overnight without opposition nod, undemocratically been carried out. These measures will never improve the economy, create jobs and bring down inflation and improve comman's life, in fact these measure are counter productive to country's progress and development and future growth. If these are achievements of Modi govt then India is doomed as it is quite visible and obvious. BTW, what is the need to go house to house to proclaim this disgusting bad news which doesn't favour any house hold to allivate thier problems. Is it to confirm votes by collecting names??????????....

Much way of work done by govt under modiji has resulted India being 6th highest corona virus cases surpassing Italy. While whole world is in exit mode and opening up businesses and improving economy modi is passing his PM CARES Fund begging bowl to collect Chanda from unemployed and poor people. Migrant workers are beaten without food, shelter and money Wah what 'Much Work Done By modiji'. Pak will definitely appreciate modi for being thier uninvited gate crashing guest and being part of terrorist gang party.

What good work you are talking about? Economy has gone to the doldrums and the Moody’s rating (not Modi’s) of the country has taken a severe beating. In the Global Hunger Index 2019, India is ranked 102 out of 117 countries. Even Pakistan stands at 92 and most of the countries below India are African countries. Forget about Pakistan & China, country’s relationship with even neighbours like Nepal / Bhutan is at its historical low. On the south, Sri Lanka has also shown tilt towards China.

Covid management of the country has been an utter failure under Mr. Modi. The Government has been in deep slumber initially and by the time Government woke up to the reality, it has been too late. Hundred of guest labourers (migrants) lost lives apart from Covid related deaths. Very soon India is going to be number 1 in terms of number of Covid affected patients. Hence instead of drum beating on the anniversary of the Government, reserve your utensils for beating on the occasion of country topping the charts in terms of Covid patients.

If there is one single word, that can describe the ruling party and the Government, it is “Narcissists”, whose only achievement is the ability to play politics during pandemics.
