Mangaluru, Jun 8: Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, visited Lord Manjunatheshwara temple at Kadir int he city on Monday June 8 morning and paid obeisance to the presiding deity.

Temples and other prayer centres, which were ordered to be closed down as a measure to control spread of coronavirus infection during March this year, have reopened for devotees today. However, restrictions like not touching idols, pillars, walls etc and non-dispensing of holy water at the temples besides social distancing and wearing of masks are in place.

Even churches and mosques have been permitted to open from today. A few prayer centres have sought a few days’ time to put in place arrangements before allowing devotees into the structures.

Kadri temple management has made arrangements like sanitizer, thermal screening etc as per the government instructions.

Poojary was accompanied by city mayor Diwakar Pandeshwar and a number of leaders and party functionaries during the visit.

Srinivasre...You are doing excellent job in all spheres is it not possible to keep all devastanas open continuously in afternoon hours. Let elderly priest rest at afternoon. Give charge for young priest at odd hours. Reason behind people visit from too far...find difficult to visit all temples in the vicinity in short time. Most of them wants to return back to other cities. Wasting time for three hours is unnessarily is not good. Some are driving there vehicles own and at night time it become very difficult due to heavy rush. For locals there is no problem. Kadri, Mangladevi, Kudroli, Sharavu, Venketedhwara are all opening in between 4 to 5 in the evening.

    Jossey, there is a mistake.
You cant ask God to pray for India. You should ask him to save India, or help India, or ask him to get rid of India.
He is The God and to whom he will pray?

Now that there is solid evidence of not wearing masks and not maintaining physical distance as in the photographs, the district administration should take legal action against individuals in the photographs published.

Why are you differentiating the Gods? All are one.... You create differences between god's as you do between the communities....just like changing your name every two days... widen your thinking ability and pray... Otherwise your single prayer won't be answered by god.... Love your neighbour as you love yourself.....dont put barricades.... Got it??

Why you get fed up every now and then because of their problems.. Such problems will be solved by the children of Adam and Eve. You don't poke your nose into others matter. I mean to say you don't interfere in the matters that you mentioned in your comment... You concentrate on your mind, your problems, your house. When everything is fine, reach out to your neighbours, after that your grama, village and city... Purely on our Indian brethren....you will get happiness, peace of mind and you will forget getting fed up. Work like a warrior......which channel I have to go through you don't direct.....
