Udupi: Jyothi Veigas Gets PhD in Biotechnology

Udupi, Feb 3: Jyothi Maria Veigas, daughter of late Urban Veigas has been honoured with PhD degree in biotechnology from Mysore University recently.

She submitted a thesis on “Molecular mechanism of action of antioxidant biomolecules from selected higher plants” under the guidance of Dr Bhagyalakshmi Neelwarne which fetched her PhD award.

    Dear Jyothi, Congratulations...I have known you since you were little child and Though I knew that you were very good in studies, I did not think our little Jyothi would one day make us all proud and earn a Doctorate. I am really proud of you dear Jyothi and wish you many more laurels come your way. Our christian youngsters should take some cue from this achievement, as if there is a will, surely there is a way to achive what Jyothi has achieved today... Congratulations from Felix Menezes(Babuti uncle) and Mary Aunty too.Also I wish you all the best in your current research work in US.
