Kasargod: District BJP holds protest against Talapady border pass issue

Kasargod, Jun 8: District BJP committee held a protest on Monday June 8, under the aegis of Manjeshwar BJP Mandala committee against non-issuing of passes for people of the district going to Mangaluru for various necessities.

The protest was kicked-off by K Srikanth, president of district BJP. Manikanta Rai, Mandal president presided over the function. Chief district secretary Sudhama Gosada, leaders like Sadananda Rai, Kolaru Satishchandra Bhandary, Sathyashankara Bhat, Santhosh Daigoli, Naveen Raj K J and Vijay Kumar Rai took part in the protest.

The protest march started from Kunjathur old check post. Though Manjeshwar police stopped the procession, it continued till Talapady tollgate. The protesters urged that people of Kasargod who are working in Mangaluru as well as students and those who are going for hospitals should not be troubled at the border at Talapady.
