Birthday girl Shilpa Shetty gets loving wishes from sister Shamita


Mumbai, Jun 8 (IANS): Monday was Shilpa Shetty's birthday, and her younger sister Shamita shared a birthday post lovingly calling her "anchor", "heart" and "soul".

Shamita shared a video-collage of her sister Shilpa, who turned 45 on June 8.

"Sisters are like branches on a tree, they grow in different directions , yet their roots remain as one. They help you find important things uve lost like ur smiles , ur hopes and ur courage .. Thankyou for always helping me find mine when things get tough," Shamita wrote.

She added: "Ur my anchor, my heart , my soul .. n I love u so so much .. Thankyou Munki for always having my back .. n know this ..there would be no meaning to my life without you in it!! Happy birthday my Darlin."

Shamita made her Bollywood debut in Aditya Chopra's multistarrer blockbuster "Mohabbatein" (2000), starring Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. In 2005, the Shetty sisters, Shilpa and Shamita, worked together in the film "Fareb", which also featured Manoj Bajpayee.

In 2009, Shamita was seen in the controversial reality show "Bigg Boss 3" and later participated in dance shows like "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" and "Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi".
