Stringent action for cow slaughter in UP now

Lucknow, Jun 10 (IANS): The Yogi Adityanath cabinet has approved the Cow-Slaughter Prevention (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020. The amendments are aimed at protecting the cow and preventing crimes related to cow slaughter.

The proposed law now includes a penal provision of imprisonment up to seven years for physical damage to the cow, and fine up to Rs three lakh in cases related to cow slaughter.

The government spokesman said that it was necessary that the cow slaughter act be made more robust and effective.

Considering these points, the cabinet decided to amend the Cow Slaughter Act, 1955 and in a late Tuesday night meeting gave the approval.

The Section 5 of the Uttar Pradesh Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, 1955 (amended) suggests punishment for transportation of bovine animals. It also attracts punishment if there is a danger to their lives through physical damage or mutilation. If someone puts the life of cow in danger by not providing food and water with the intention of endangering their life, rigorous imprisonment may be awarded for at least one year, which may extend to seven years.

The expenditure incurred on the maintenance of the captured cows will be recovered from the owner of the vehicle for a period of one year or until the cow or bovine is released, whichever is earlier, according to the proposed legislation.

In case someone is found guilty of an offence under the new act, after conviction he shall be punished with double penalty provided for this offence for second conviction. The promulgation of this ordinance will enable the conservation and preservation of bovines effectively.

Whenever there is any talk of slaughter of animals it is commonly assumed that only Muslims who love meat are engaged in this business. However, you will be surprised to know that the biggest modern slaughter houses in India which export beef have little to do with the followers of Islam.

Allow me to introduce you to the Hindu owners of some of the largest slaughter houses in India.

Al Kabeer Exports Pvt. Ltd.: Do not get misled by the name. This is the largest beef exporting company in the country. The largest slaughter house in India is spread over nearly 400 acres in Rudrak village in Telangana state. Do you know who owns this slaughter house? The name is Satish Saberwal.

Al Noor Exports Pvt Ltd: The company is owned by Sunil Sood. He too is not a Muslim. Isn’t it strange? While others are raking in big-bucks, its Muslims who are being demonized. Isn’t it stranger still that this company is located in UP where Yogi Aidyanath is the chief minister? Al Noor’s slaughter house is located in Sher Nagar village in Muzaffarnagar district of UP. This company exports beef to 35 companies.

AOB Exports Pvt. Ltd.: The slaughter house of this company is in Unnao district in UP. This company is owned by OP Arora.

Standard Frozen Foods Exports Pvt. Ltd.: The owner of this company is Kamal Verma and the slaughter house is in Chandpur village in UP’s Unnao district.

The question then is, are those who lynched Mohammed Akhlaq unaware that it is their own co-religionists who are the main beef exporters?

Finally, I will only say this: such double standard on the part of the government and some people will destroy forever the communal amity in this country.

    Jai Hind!

As stated the law is applied also for malnourished, physical injury etc. The fear of law will discourage people from keeping cows. This law will have adverse effect.

Uttar pradesh exported 7000 tones of cow meat to Pakistan and India exporting beef to whole world. it has beef exporting companies around UP.

What people wants from government? Good Health Sector, Good Food in affordable rate, Good School, Plan to fight pandamic . Job creation.

Government diverts mind of people in Beef Slaughater Act and other issues so that people will divert their minds.

Those who eat beef should come with stronger plan that for another 10 years we will not eat beef nor will allow beef to be export out of country. Then only government will concentrate on real issues.

We give equal importance to human-beings as well as animals. Will not entertain any butchering act on cows in near future. In future we are going to grow our food grains by using organic fertilizers as done in the past. We protect our cows by any means. Yadavs gollas in U.P are much happier now with this decision. Even Don Arun Gawli's father is also bhaiyya belonged to same community. Ab se dhoodh ka nadeeiya bayeegee. Do anybody having any objection.

Jaswal, are you writing an essay to submit for a competition, by-chance ?

Have you ever visited UP ? Or, have you ever taken a first hand report from anybody who resides in UP ? Especially a farmer ? Look, youngman, a farmer in UP is most hit by the cow-menace. They have stopped cultivation because there are stray herds moving about everywhere, on the courtyards, on roads and everywhere. They devour everything that comes on their path. People even withdrew their children from schools so that the young ones will guard the crops while their parents work in them - the bovines just ram the kids away.

Look, I am not against cow rearing. The problems is the strays. Once a cow finished calf-bearing, she is driven away because there is no other way of an end to her. Previously older cattle was traded with an able one in cattle fairs. That is not happening now and to keep an unproductive cow is not feasible. Please don't give me if we drive our mother away - we don't milk our mother - period !

Please be realistic before you express your love.

We decision by great CM on cow slaughter. How about human slaughter. I think yogi has no value for human life and that is the reason kiling of human being is going on in UP without any fear. UP is like goonda state. Will Yogi request same thing ie stopping cow slaughter with CM of Gujrat state where sanghi owned beef export houses are slaughtering hundreds of cows on daily basis. If YOgi is real cow lover and not cheating people, he will ask Gujrat CM to stop beef export from his state and close all the beef export houses. Yogi should also ask central govt to declare cow as national animal. Why they are not doing it. Why are they acting as cow lover but are zero in action.
