Tackle China instead of bullying Rahul Gandhi: Congress

New Delhi, Jun 10 (IANS): After the Union Law Minister criticised former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi for asking questions over the Sino-India border situation, the opposition party, here on Wednesday, hit back at the government and said while the Defence Minister was busy reciting poetry, the Law Minister was speaking on China.

The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) misplaced bravado had caused 75 per cent jump in incursion at the Line of Actual Control (LAC), it said.

Congress spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill said instead of toughening its China stance, the government was bullying Rahul Gandhi and the opposition for questioning its failure on the national security front.

Attacking Gandhi, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad had said "Rahul Gandhi should know that on international matters, like China, questions should not be asked on Twitter."

During the day, Gandhi had again attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his silence over the Sino-Indian standoff. Gandhi has been demanding a statement on the situation at the LAC in eastern Ladakh.

"The Chinese have walked in and taken our territory in Ladakh. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister is absolutely silent and has vanished from the scene," Gandhi tweeted a day after he traded barbs with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

Fundamental functioning of democracy is discussion at right place with facts and take decision for betterment of country. Parliment is the place to discuss these matters Interestingly congis including RG and his followers (congi bhakthas) does not believe in discussion in parliment They are media attention seakers They howl in public which is against the norms of democracy In parliment they walk away without discussion or do not attend the parliment But talk outside the parliment

Karanth, where is that parliament, is it in Udupi??
How often you have seen the present government given clarification on anything in parliament?
How often you have seen PM opens his mouth in parliament, he opens only in election rallies and on Monkey baat.
Recently our great Home minister, who was in maun vrat for few months opened up his mouth and told " it is true that the govt failed in corona but what did the opposition do?"
What opposition can do when you do not take them for consultation and take all decisions without any consultation at 8 pm. Congress did demanded lock down in early February which fell on deaf ears anyway. What else opposition can do??

Modi and Amit Shah are a danger to the integrity of India. The Indian army would not be bogged down in Kashmir and surprised in Ladakh if Modi/Shah had not changed the status of the Kashmir and Ladakh last year.

All these years RSS political wing BJP is blaming late Prime Minister Nehur for 1967 Sino-Indian war.
Those are the time India is not even match for Chinese in warfare.

Today India is the nuclear power. But our 'Parmanu' is only proved good for movies and Rafel Jet for 'Limbu Sharbath' under BJP's 56 inch 'Valor'.

When Modi's government is preoccupied by counter terror operations in Kashmir and celebration for Article 370, India’s distracted army was taken by surprise when the Chinese PLA carried out well-planned and deftly-executed multi-prong deep incursions of three to five kilometres across north Sikkim and east Ladakh last month. Starting on May 5, the Chinese not only occupied Indian territory but also audaciously built concrete defences on it.

The PM Modi's regime has conceded to China without any fight like Savarkar betrayed Netaji during India's freedom struggle working as British stooge.

A very simple logic here if there was something that would have boosted BJP's image and enlarged 56" size then Modi wouldn't have spared the opportunity. So now it is concluded that India under BJP govt is losing this bloodless war with China and Modi has to keep his mouth shut and accept defeat.

Whatever our prime minister talked with his loose tongue during the 2014 election time to impress the voters, against China and Pakistan, he can’t talk like that now or he can’t bring those words into action because he is in responsible position. If he try to do so, it will end up in big diplomatic action from UN.. China is become stronger all this years in all sectors while we Indians fighting in between in the name of religion and caste. Our defence forces are capable to tackle anyone in the world.

Whenever the country is faced with challenging situation we have found the leader is neither visible nor gives any message to the people. Instead of giving the confidence to the people in such situations he will send his Hogalu Bhattas to blame and make fun of the Opposition leaders particularly Rahul Gandhi. By doing so they think that they have solved the problem.

Silence of this government in such issues only shows the nervousness and this is not good for the country. By pointing to the earlier incidents and blaming Congress is not the solution to the standoff now. Foreign policy seems to have failed and even a small country like Nepal gets the courage to stand against India.

Ruling party should introspect and make necessary changes in the government. Country cannot be taken for a ride by the ego of one person. Leadership change may be the best option.

CONgress should explain to the Nation why Nehru gifted 250 Kms of our lands to China post defeat in 1962 war with China. At that time occupied teriitory of Aksai Chin was only about 35 Kms, rest was gifted by a pact by Nehru. Why is not Raul talking about this to Chinese Consulate he visits often

    j.anata,

Problem with all bhakts is they want to take the refuge of earlier incidents for their failure. Now you corrected that India China war was in 1962 and not 1965. In the war India lost large area in Aksai Chin and got defeated. Then the war went on for a month and our forces bravely fought with many causalities.

Things are different now. Lot of modernization in defence forces since 1962 and now we have our own missiles and modern weapons. Present failure can not be equated with that war. Now Chinese have entered our territory without firing even a single bullet.

Just boasting of 56" chest is not enough, it needs to be displayed under conditions like this.

Nehru and party is dead and gone but he and his team earned something that you are currently enjoying. The land mass that you are living on, earned ithout shedding a drop of sweat. Nobody from BJP was there in the fight for redeeming our nation from the clutches of invaders. In the milee if 250 Kms of land is gone to the neighbouring nation, you should be thankful for the remaining mass of land that is redeemed.

Now, you ask the PM about the land Nepal has printed in its map. This is besides what China is attempting to swallow up.

Ask your the party that is enjoying the freedom earned by very those whom your leader is blaming each and every failure of his own.

Go ahead ! Take the 56" chest holder to lead you.

A very tight slap with on Raul Vinci Khans face by the young Ladakh MP who said ''
'Yes, China Occupied 37,244 Sqkm In 1962 Under Congress' in response' . If Rahul looks at himself, his contribution for the country is NIL but keeps on tweeting on issues which he doesn't have much knowledge. The country demands an answer from Raul Vinci Khan as to why he along with Anand Sharma visisted the Chinese Embassy during the Doklam stand off? He should also answer as to why he met the Chinese Officials during the Manasarovar yatra? He should be ashamed of his grand father Nehru who handeded over Indian territory on a platter to China in 1962, yet Nehru was awarded BHARAT RATNA. Let Raul Vinci Khan learn to depend less on shot more on facts and avoid foolish questions.

While Modi was CM of Gujarat he was taunting Man Mohan Singh that India should show red eyes to China instead of sending the foreign Secretary to China. The Defence Ministry spokesman was regularly briefing the media during the skirmishes with Pakistan how come everyone is silent on the China episode. The country has every right to know the actual situation on the border with China.

The Law Minister is no one to respond to opposition queries on this subject. The Defence Minister or the Spokesman should give daily briefing.

Lets Hope Smiriti Rani will not respond as usual on this sensitive issue.
