Man held for posting nasty remark against ex-colleague


New Delhi, Jun 11 (IANS): The Delhi Police have arrested a man for allegedly posting obscene and derogatory remarks against a senior colleague on the company website suspecting that he was fired because of her.

The accused, identified as Ansh Khanna, was a resident of the Shahdara area of the national capital, the police said on Thursday.

The woman, a senior executive in an IT firm, had on May 24 lodged a complaint that some unknown person wrote derogatory and objectionable comments about her on the company website, a senior police officer said.

"During the probe, IP address of the sender was obtained and he was arrested on Wednesday. He is a former employee of the company and worked under the complainant in the sales department," Deputy Commissioner of Police (North West) Vijayanta Arya said.

The accused said the complainant was responsible for the loss of his job and he wanted to avenge that. His mobile phone had been seized and further investigation was on, she added.
