CAB prepares guidelines for office resumption, forms monitoring group

Kolkata, Jun 11 (IANS): Based on the suggestions provided by its medical committee which comprises top doctors in the city, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has formed the guidelines for resumption of its office. The CAB has also formed a monitoring group which would be headed by Vice President Naresh Ojha.

"Keeping in mind the safety of our staff, we have framed the guidelines for resumption of office. Next steps would be finalisation of the rotational roster to prevent overcrowding and re-layout of the office premises to ensure social distancing is observed. Thereafter, we would take a call when to formally open the office," said CAB President Avishek Dalmiya.

"In the meantime, we have formed a monitoring group for COVID-19 precautionary measures to be headed by our Vice President, Naresh Ojha."

"We are trying to abide by the steps suggested by our team of doctors. We do not want to take chances in these trying times. Health of stakeholders remains vital," said CAB Secretary Snehasish Ganguly.

CAB is also in the final stages of preparation of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for resumption of cricket practice.

In this regard, the CAB President had stated earlier that the association is in the process of finalising SOP for resumption of practice based on the inputs from the doctors. Dalmiya had also mentioned that the BCCI would be sending their recommendations and guidelines, which would be incorporated in the SOP.
