Shirva Fest in Dubai - On Feb 12

Dubai, Feb 7: USWAS, an association of Shirva parishioners residing in the UAE, under the leadership of Oscar Rego, is setting the stage for its Shirva Fest 2010 which will be held on February 12 at the famous banquet hall of Excelsior Creek Hotel in Bur Dubai.
Amidst overwhelming response from the parishioners as well as members of the Konkani community in Dubai, USWAS has planned a fun-filled day of variety entertainment for those who wish to be a part of Shirva Fest 2010.
The Event will be hosted by Uttam Menezes, a well known host & Roshan Menezes, upcoming talent of Shirva.

The Event will have lots of fun games, spot prizes & dances from local talents. Shirva’s well-known comedians, 'Boscambegars' are all at hard efforts to bring out some of the comedy short skits.

Well known band, ‘SWEET MELODIES’ of Dubai under the leadership of Arun Carlo along with other musicians to provide live musical entertainment for Shirva Fest 2010. Arun Carlo has rendered music for Konkani CDs like Zala Love, Mogachin Laran etc. and is well known for his rich talent of music in Dubai & Mangalore. He has assured the best of his performances for Shirva Fest 2010.
Canute Mathias of Shirva to perform some lovely numbers during Festh 2010 along with Sheela Carlo, Sharon Rego, Joseph Mathias & Joy Almeida.
Sweet Melodies
Asha Maben Known as Shirva’s Kogul, to perform some melodious songs on Shirva Festh 2010. Asha is a well known name in music industry as she has rendered her voice for many musical shows & musical albums (in Konkani, Kannada & Hindi) Once she was the core female singer for ‘Mand Sobhan’ group.

Apart from Konakani songs Vincent, well known guitarist & singer also to perform some of the hit western & Eastern (Hindi) songs to add variety to the musical entertainment.
A lavish buffet dinner will be served on the day as also you can enjoy lots and lots of music and Entertainment all day long.
USWAS for the past seven years, is contributing to the education, health and various other needs of the community of Shirva & surrounding efficiently through the generous help from its sponsors and well wishers.
On the family front, Shirva Fest perhaps is the only feast where relatives and friends converge. Come and participate in the 'Shirva Fest 2010' event, held for a cause.
