Pak violates ceasefire on LoC in J&K's Baramulla


Srinagar, Jun 12 (IANS): Pakistan on Friday resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation on the lime of control (LoC) on Friday in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district, an official said.

"Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation today (Friday) morning along the LoC in Rampur sector of Baramulla district by firing mortars and other weapons," Defence Ministry spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia said.

"Befitting response is being given," he added.

Friday's ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Kashmir division has followed a series of ceasefire violation on the LoC in Jammu division.

One army soldier was killed and a civilian injured in Pakistan ceasefire violation on the LoC in Jammu division on Thursday.
