Arms recovered from Maoists in Jharkhand


Ranchi, Jun 12 (IANS): Jharkhand Police on Friday recovered a cache of arms and ammunitions after a gun battle with Maoists in Palamau district.

According to the police, the gunfight took place inside a jungle in Tandawa for nearly an hour. The insurgents managed to escape but left behind 120 live cartridges of SLR rifles, one SLR magazine, six mobile phones, three mobile power bank, three mobile chargers, clothes, bags and other things.

A search operation was underway.
