INCIDENT is the annual cultural festival of the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal. It is one of the premier college cultural festivals in India. INCIDENT presents over 120 hours of uninterrupted, adrenaline pumping action for those whose primary purpose is to unwind from the rigors of a strenuous routine.

It is a congregation of enthusiastic and talented individuals competing for the highest laurels in a multitude of cultural events on a national level.

NITK is among the leading educational institutions of the nation. It boasts of an extensive lush campus and is unique for its exclusive beach. With its sun-kissed shores and fine ambience, the beach is one of the prime locations on campus during INCIDENT.

This year, NITK presents the Golden Jubilee Edition of INCIDENT, with much vigor and splendor, exploring the mystiques of the Arabian Nights.

Among the highlights of INCIDENT, ‘Encore’ is certainly one of the crown jewels. With electrifying performances from hugely popular artists such as Euphoria, Parikrama and Kunal Ganjawala, this Pro-nite has always attracted a large audience. The Eastern Musical or ‘Bandish’ draws promising talent in Indian music from around the country. Mellifluous voices combine with inspiring melodies to create reverberating music on a night to remember.

The energy at INCIDENT reaches a crescendo at Slam Dunk and Promenade. Slam Dunk is a 5-day intercollegiate basketball extravaganza. Slam Dunk is an exhibition of sporting prowess, inviting participation from teams across the country. Promenade, the Dance competition, is a celebration of exquisite dance talent, adjudicated in the solo, duet and group dance categories.

The enthusiasm and vivacity at INCIDENT is most apparent at the Beach Events. Characterized by fun and frolic, the Beach Events have something for everyone, the highlight being Sandemonium, a strategy-based game. Also bringing the crowd together are events such as War of DJs and a variety of Beach Sports.

Thus far, Corporate Sector firms and government organizations have been the biggest supporters. Team INCIDENT looks forward to their encouragement and whole hearted support.
