Mangalore: Passionate Dancer Kishore Aman Lives his Dream

Mangalore, Feb 9: It is said that if you chase your dream with grit and confidence no one can stop you from achieving it. Kishore Aman, one of the top eight contestants of a popular reality show -Dance India Dance has indeed proved it right.
Kishore, hailing from Kulaigudde here, has turned out to be a star today. His intense passion for dance took him from a small town to the sets of Dance India Dance, Mumbai.
Disco King Mithun Chakraborty, Big B Amitabh Bachchan and actor Salman Khan were all amazed with Kishor’s mind-blowing performances. Several other celebrities have flattered Kishore matching steps with him on the show.
Kishore has made the city proud. He is in fact the sole contestant from whole of South India to reach the top eight position in the show premiered on Zee TV. It is highly rated in terms of TRP. The participants compete under the support of three popular Indian Choreographers- Remo D’Souza, Geeta Kapur and Terrance Lewis.
Kishore belongs to a poverty-stricken family. His mother and three brothers were abandoned by his father when he was six-year old. Working as a cleaner in a hospital, mother Rathnavathi brought up the children with lot of difficulties. Kishore had to discontinue his studies in class X.
Right from childhood days Kishore was passionate about dancing. He aspired to be a great dancer. Neighbours and associates laughed at his desire and termed it foolishness. But Kishore sidelined all the remarks and went on to pursue his dream despite all the difficulties at home.
Initially he was given free dance training by Shub Kiran. He learned fire dance and Marshal Arts from Ravindra. Later he joined Ocean Kids dance troupe in the city and at 16 he became a member of XLNC team, Bangalore dance group with which he got more exposure. He then gave auditioned for Dance India Dance on his friend’s insistence and got selected. The show has brought him lot of recognition and support and he was applaued by the judges and audience for his exceptional performances.
Kishore represents ‘Geeta Ki Gang’ team in Dance India Dance. He is a freestyle dancer. Hip hop and B boying are his favourite styles. “Dance is my passion, I live for it”, says Kishore. He is a very dedicated artiste. He considers his mother as his idol. He was the happiest person on the day his mother was given the opportunity to watch his live performance at the sets of Dance India Dance.
The judges have already tagged Kishore as the outstanding dancer in the show and reaching the top eight position is an achievement in itself. Winning the show will be an added credit to Kishore as he will level with Salman Khan- the winner of Dance India Dance – Season I. By turning his dream into reality Kishore has become a true role model for all budding dancers in the city and elsewhere.
