J&K's Covid-19 tally crosses 5,000


Jammu, Jun 14 (IANS): As many as 163 people tested positive for coronavirus in J&K on Sunday, taking the total number of Covid-19 patients in the Union Territory above the 5,000 mark.

A statement issued by the Information and Public Relations Department said 28 new cases in the Jammu division and 135 in the Kashmir division have taken the total number of patients to 5,041.

So far, 59 people have died due to the virus in J&K while 2,389 have completely recovered.

The number of active cases is now 2593 out of which 745 are in the Jammu division and 1,848 are in the Kashmir division.
